Kevin’s art journey is influenced by his observation of everyday life and his love of music. Based now in Cowes, Isle of Wight, he has toured the world on drums working with numerous bands such as The Creation, Steve Hillage (Gong), Alternative TV, Television Personalities, MGMT to name a few. His staccato style works within the spirit of Impressionism.
Kevin’s imagery and observation can be challenging. He depicts people and character caught in colour, space and time. He tries not to impose any premeditation on his artworks, following his view that “paintings speak to us and dance through our eyes”. Mann’s studies create emotional rhythms and he resists defining his art. He states “artists put themselves on the line, and so does the viewer, it’s a relationship, if they both escape it’s working”.
